I’ve decided to dedicate the last friday of every month to sharing all the art that I made during that month, starting with this month!

I usually post my art to my social media, my neocities, and my carrd so maybe I don’t need to share it here too, but blogging about my art will give me a chance to talk about my process and my thoughts behind each piece. So let’s get started!

Frog Tunes

This is an idea I had doodled last summer when I was working at a state park. There was a small pond at the park that lots of frogs liked to chill in and I liked to visit them whenever I had the chance. I also had a coworker who really liked frogs so I guess I had frogs in my brain haha. Anyway, it wasn’t until this month that I actually turned my doodle into a digital drawing. I thought the timing would be good with spring coming and everything! I also decided to try something new with the simplicity of it, and the dark background with light lines. Overall I really like how it came out and have made this design available on my redbubble!

Moon Jelly

I drew this one for an art game on toyhou.se (a site for original characters). One thing I really love about participating in art games is that it gives me a good chance to experiment with different art styles! For this one I decided to try Clip Studio Paint’s gauche brush and practiced exaggerating the light and shadow. I really like the results!

Starlight Wanderer

This started off as a doodle because I needed a new icon for social media and ended up being similar to my previous art, mainly because I wanted to try a new way to color lighting. Overall I really like it and want to do more of this colored sketch style!

404

I drew this one for my website’s 404 page! I didn’t want to go too crazy rendering a drawing that not a lot of people are likely going to come across, so I left it at a colored sketch. The character featured in the drawing is Luso, a new character of mine I created because I wanted a cute fluffy werewolf boy to draw. I think he also represents some part of me, though I’m not sure what yet.

And that’s it for march! A lot of blue art for some reason, maybe next month I’ll draw some more colorful stuff. See ya sunday for my regular blog posts! :)
